I Love the Bruins

Ever since I was a little boy I loved the Bruins,I remember seeing them for the 1st time when I was around 5 years old(1975) or at least this is the time I took notice of them,I remember my Grand Mothers house down there cellar was done over with a bumper pool table and if you turned over the top it was used to play cards but the thing that caught my eye was the huge poster on the wall of the  Boston Bruins 1970 Team and the picture of Bobby Orr they had on the wall I always looked at it,I remember seeing parts of different games my Uncles were watching but back then the games were only on sometimes and the T.V. was small and in black and white, but I still hear my Uncles going nuts over the game, hearing names like Wensynk,Orr,Espisito,Cashman,Sanderson,Cheevers,Gilbert, etc.,oh what a team and what a time for a new youngman only 5 years old,the affect it had on me,I was an instant fan never wanting to do nything but watch hockey, play hockey ,collect cards of my favorite players, play the hockey game that had the black puck and the medal rods to move your players around it was the Bruins and those Pesky Rangers,I would play that with my brother Bill for hours we would keep stats records and we even taped names on the back of the players to make it more interesting,I went on to play organized hockey throughthe leagues and into High School but thats were it ended pretty much maybe a few Mens Leagues but in the end it was all fun and I will always love the Black and Gold,it runs through my veins,I wish the Bruins and its Fans a Stanley Cup Season,I been watching there chemistry for years and this years Team has all the makings of one of the Best all around teams of the past,I hope they maybe pickup one more sniper but hey they are good and I cant always get what I want ,but if II could predict a Cup I think if they really put there minds to it this is the year.Go Bruins and thank you for the years.
