... 88 pitches in the process. Clearly, he needs to work back into form, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a down year from here on out. He has been having some issues with his release point this season (lower release and more erratic) as well as decreased velocity on his fastball - possibly indicating a shoulder injury of sorts. Time will tell. He certainly cannot be much worse than he was in the early going of this season, though I would not expect a dramatic turnaround.
