... . There are an abundance of strange quotes, which the Japanese star is known for. It's his calling card, if you will. Both With Leather and USS Mariner point out Suzuki's odd statments about Tiger Woods and also about performance-enhancing drugs. But, what I found most interesting were these words from Ichiro: "Once I turn 40," he says, "I can become a pitcher. I'm kind of serious about it. But I'll have to learn to throw a knuckleball. Right now, I could be a 'normal' pitcher," who can top out at 95 mph with a fastball.
