Since 1994, the Pirates are 1-14 in home openers, and after today, have lost six of them in a row. Those 14 losses have included blowouts, shutouts, one-hitters and more first inning home runs by the opposition than I care to count. But, in spite of all that, there hasn’t quite been a loss like there was today.
