 Igawa's completely clueless
Who knew that Kei Igawa was Japanese for Esteban Loaiza? I never thought I would meet a pitcher more delusional than Loaiza, who would routinely tell us after his starts how well he thought he pitched. I remember one game when he gave up six runs in five innings, all of the runs coming on four homers. He said to us, “I pitched very well, I just made four bad pitches.” I guess he didn’t ... [link]

... Kei Igawa: It’s bad enough that this $46 million waste makes Yankee fans want to throw up every time he pitches. What makes it worse is that he is clueless about how bad he is, and why he keeps getting crushed by major league hitters. Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News went so far as to call him “insane” after Igawa seemed relatively satisfied after giving up 6 runs on 11 hits in 3 innings Friday night. ...

Ian’s busy week - Show to the farm back to the show

New York Yankees pitcher Ian Kennedy has had a busy schedule recently. Just last week the rookie pitcher, dubbed one of the big three, was demoted to the minor leagues. The minor league stint was expected to be for a few starts to regain his confidence and control. Two things, which the pitcher had lost to start the year. Well thanks to Kei Igawa that plan has already been scrapped.
