MLB.com is reporting that the Indians and CL Kerry Wood are closing in on a two year deal, with an option for a third year.
Looks like Krod’s signing will start to get the ball rolling on the other top free agents.
The 31 year old Wood went 5-4 with a 3.26 ERA for the NL best Cubs last year. He also saved 34 games in his first year as closer.
