Kyle Snyder Drawing Trade Interest
Published 4/11/2008 by McFleece at MLB Fleece Factor
Red Sox reliever Kyle Snyder is drawing trade interest from the Tigers, Rays and Phillies, according to Jeff Horrigan of the Boston Herald. The 6′8 righty was designated for assignment by Boston on Sunday to make room for Josh Beckett (who returned from the DL that day).  The Red Sox have until April 16th to trade Snyder or put him on waivers.  Snyder is currently at home in Sarasota, Fla., awaiting word. Also within ...

Report: Phils Interested In Kyle Snyder
Published 4/11/2008 by Tim Malcolm at Phillies Nation
The Boston Herald has reported the Phillies are interested in Red Sox pitcher Kyle Snyder. He was designated for assignment a few days ago. Last season Snyder threw 54.1 innings for the Sox and went 2-3 with a 3.81 ERA. He walked 32 and struck out 41. For his career, he has a 5.57 ERA in 230.2 innings. He’s a sinkerball pitcher, which is always good for Citizens Bank Park, but his ratio isn’t hot. Another walk-heavy, five-inning battler on the ballot. Share This

UPDATE: (4/14) 4:01pm (EST) - According to the Boston Herald, Kyle Snyder has cleared through waivers and has accepted an assignment to AAA Pawtucket. Kind of surprising here. He’s a guy that can eat some innings, and considering most team’s bullpen woes (Detroit, perhaps?), it’s odd that he passed through. He is making $835,000 this year.   Apr 11th - Red Sox reliever Kyle Snyder is drawing trade interest from the Tigers, Rays and Phillies, according to Jeff Horrigan of the Boston Herald. The 6′8 righty was designated for assignment by Boston on Sunday to make room for Josh ...
