Injury Woes Hit Caps (Updated)
As of right now, the Caps are practicing without Viktor Kozlov (knee), Donald Brashear (hand) and Tom Poti (groin) and Sergei Fedorov (rest, I'm assuming). I haven't heard about any call-ups -- yet. Friday Night Capitals Miscellany
Off Wing Opinion — ... . While yes a couple of their goals allowed were " fluky ", it doesn't mean it's okay for them to be allowed. Maybe the Caps need to take the Alexes off the ice and put on someone who's a little more defense-oriented. If the injuries on offense continue, I wouldn't mind seeing a Quintin Laing call-up. He knows how to lay out the body. The Caps continue to dominate 5-on-5, but why aren't the putting a few powerplay goals away? With Ovechkin, Semin, Fedorov, Green, and Backstrom on the PP, the Caps have one of the scariest powerplay units in the league. They just need to take ...

Saturday Roundup/Gamenight: Devils @ Caps
Japers' Rink — ... number, too - Alex Ovechkin has just three goals in 12 games against Jersey). And guess what? In the early goings this season, the Devils are winning games but not scoring goals (shocking, I know). Somehow Jersey is 3-1, despite having scored only six goals and sporting a woeful 14.3% power play efficiency, which makes them the perfect team for Jose Theodore to face to try to gain a bit more confidence before heading out for a Western Conference road trip. What's that you say? Brent Johnson ...
