 Inside Calloway's opener Links1
As we wrote on Saturday , Pacers coach Jim O'Brien considers Earl Calloway an NBA-level point guard. His play in the Pacers' first summer league game didn't do anything to hurt that notion. The former Indiana University point guard scored a team-high 16 points, shooting 5-of-6 from the field, including 1-for-1 from long range, and 5-of-6 from the free throw line. He also had a team high ... [link]

Earl Calloway making a name in summer league
Published 7/10/2008 by PostmanE at Inside the Hall | An Indiana basketball blog
The NBA’s summer league is what it is — a bunch of first-and-second-year players desperately clawing for the last few spots on their team. Often, the effort is fruitless, and those players are sent back to the NBDL or to Europe to make that strong Euro currency. The dollar’s weak anyway. Who needs it? So it is with a requisite grain of salt that we take former Hoosier Earl Calloway’s success this offseason. Still, Calloway scored 16 points in his first summer league game on an efficient 5-6 from the field. He was matched up against ...

Calloway Putting in Work in Summer League
Back in May, I offered up my opinion on some players in the NBDL that the Pacers should look at this summer.  One of those players was Earl Calloway, the former Indiana Hoosier point guard. Calloway was a star player for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants this past season and has shown his skills so far in the first two summer league games in Orlando.  In the first game, Calloway scored 16 ...

Pacers Have A Good Day On and Off Court
The Summer Pacers handed the Miami Summer Heat a loss tonight in Orlando, 95-84 . Once again, Shawne Williams, Stephen Graham, Josh Davis and Earl Calloway played lots of minutes and all played a big role in the win. Shawne Williams played 37 of 40 minutes and led the way with 25 points, including four 3-balls. The Pacers were also able to talk about the seven new players they acquired in ...
Knowing When You Are Open To Shoot
I took in my first NBA summer league game today between the Chicago Bulls and the Indiana Pacers this afternoon. It was, basically an organized scrimmage but I thought it was interesting to see the young rookies like Derrick Rose playing with NBA players. He struggled with his shooting, but otherwise, he looked solid. The game was close but in the 4th quarter, the Bulls got hot from behind the ...
Summer League Game Thread: Chicago @ Indiana

They are being streamed live, so if you're at work and can't watch, well you suck at life. Hopefully NBA Observer records the game and is able to send it to whomever is eager to watch it later on.  ...

Going into the draft, I hated everything about Russell Westbrook except for his ...
