... don't believe that the Cavs won game 3. I think that the Celtics lost it. There is a big difference. A lot of media pointed to how well the Cavs shot but if Boston was playing defense like they did in Boston, I guarantee that Cleveland would not be shooting as well. Most players can hit wide open shots with no one guarding them. The Celtics lost that game. They have to get back to playing their game including the team defense that they play at home. The Globe reports that the Celtics had a very intense practice on Sunday. ...

Must Win

... All that said… I’m fully EXPECTING the Celtics to deliver.  Yesterday’s practice was a ball-buster.  Pierce compared it to a training camp practice.  Doc Rivers, for better or for worse, expects a team full of highly paid professionals to pull themselves up when they’re down.  I’m sure he expected a team full of guys who said they know they have to play harder… to actually play harder.  Yesterday… he sent the message that not extending the effort in games… means they’ll just have to go harder ...

Intense Practice

Signaling that the team is fed up with the road woes, the Celtics took part in a very intense practice yesterday. Marc Spears reports: By the sweaty jerseys, it was evident the players had put some work in scrimmaging. Guard Ray Allen said it was the most intense practice the team has had since before the playoffs. Prior to practice, the Celtics only watched the first quarter of their Game 3 blowout loss. Guard Rajon Rondo, who has been struggling offensively, also shot for about an hour after practice. Forward Paul Pierce said he is confident the Celtics will win ...

... Take: These are the two players who have to step up their game. When Rondo is playing aggressively the team plays better. I still say we are a better team with Rondo on the floor and Doc shouldn't be giving more time to Sam than to Rondo. Ray Allen hasn't been a factor in this series and has to step up his game. If Ray's shot would start falling it would give the Celtics a big boost. Stops have been a start for the Cavaliers Time to get a move on Intense practice for Celtics MetroWest Daily C's flirting ...

Have the Zebras hamstrung the Celtic road defense?

During the regular season the Boston Celtics were the best road team in the NBA. So far in the postseason they are one of the worst. Why? What has changed? To quote Joe Louis (or was it Max Schmeling analyzing Joe Louis ?), "I see something."  ...
