The following interview touches in Moorad’s move from the state of the Diamondbacks when he arrived with the organization... [link]

AZ 12/7, White Sox 5/6 - Winless No More
Published 3/3/2008 by Jim McLennan <info@azsnakepit.com> at AZ Snakepit: Front Page Posts
The Diamondbacks emphatically ended a streak going back almost five months, to the final game of the NLDS, getting their first victory in eight attempts, by crushing the Chicago White Sox in a split-squad game at Tucson Electric Park this afternoon, 12-5, in front of 7,361. A little later, the other half of the roster also beat the White Sox, rallying from a 5-0 deficit down in Hermosillo, Mexico, before a crowd of 12,855. Since we were at the first game, that's where we'll concentrate our efforts. ;-) I was picked up by shoe, tap and tmar just after 9 am, though not before being getting a call to my cel-phone from a Denver Post reporter. After I'd ...

Published 3/3/2008 at BBTF's Baseball Primer Newsblog
The Biz of Baseball: Brown: Interview - Jeff Moorad - General Partner & CEO, D-Backs Through outstanding bi-national cooperation, MOORAD has proven himself effective in his roles of watching, warning, and responding! Bizball: With your background as a former player agent, how have you been able to apply that experience to the management side? Moorad: The truth is, my experience has helped probably the most having seen how 30 teams in baseball conducted their business, so that the perspective of doing business with all 30 teams over a 20 year span, and to pick and choose many ...

Moorad Interview
Published 3/5/2008 by Matt Scarborough at Diamondhacks
Good interview with Jeff Moorad at bizofbaseball. To find the Q&A, scroll past Jeff's bio, which is slightly longer than Leonardo DaVinci's. I especially liked Jeff's response to this rather leading query: Q) When you joined the Diamondbacks in 2004, how would you best describe the state of the organization? A) "...the franchise had enjoyed tremendous success, and at that time was experiencing significant financial challenges". Wow. Not even a whisper of the 111 losses?  Nor does he brush aside the broad-based, historic run of expansion franchise triumphs, with ...
