Ranting and Raving About College Football
Cheddar's Sports Blog — ... Iowa had spent most of the season flirting with losses to teams ranked significantly lower than them. As much as I want teams to get their first crack at a title...if for nothing else to annoy people like this the reality is, Iowa has been more lucky than good this year. Its one thing if it happens once but Iowa barely escaped to often against medicore-to bad teams such as Indiana, Michigan State and Northern Iowa. Did Anyone Really Buy Into Iowa?
Blak4rest: Sports, Media and Vegas — ... Iowa was the worst unbeaten team heading into the weekend before it fell today at home against Northwestern. Iowa, which had used several fourth-quarter rallies to win their first nine against, some of them coming against the weak links in the Big Ten, lost quarterback Ricky Stanzi in the second quarter and that sealed their fate.
