James Irvin did not make weight even in the buff. You can see UFC officials held a banner in front of Irvin as he tried to make the 205 limit. He came in at 207.5. From a straight-on perspective, he doesn’t look that different at all from when he was a middleweight. But turn the angle a little and you realize he’s much thicker than he used to be, with bigger arms, shoulders, and lats.
