When Damon signed with the Yankees, many Sox fans reacted like jilted girlfriends: How could he? Fine, he doesn’t love me anymore, but dammit, don’t sleep with her! Given what’s transpired since — a second Sox title in four years, the end of the Torre era in New York — it’s hard to summon much venom. And now Damon is criticizing the Yankees about their use of Joba Chamberlain.
