Well… at least that’s the way I feel a few days post the absolutely terrible loss on Thursday night. It’s not over. Not yet. Hope springs eternal I guess. All records are made to be broken. Sooner or later, a team will win when they are down 3-0. The Lakers are down 1-3. Get game 5, and it’s 2-3. Can the Lakers win 2 in the Garden? Well… it’s unlikely, but I’ll not give up hope yet. Postcards From LA, Vol. 18: One Lakers Fan Tracks His Team Through the NBA Playoffs

Instead of focusing on poor play and bemoaning the fact that if the Lakers didn’t choke away a 24-point lead they would hold the 3-2 series advantage, the optimum way to view this situation is that the next two games are actually pure gravy, a gift from the basketball gods that allows the Lakers, who happen to employ the game’s best gunslinger, two do-or-die shots at basketball immortality.
