J.P. Ricciardi Done Gone and Lost His Mind
Okay, there are crazier things he could do than release Frank Thomas , but seriously: wtf, brah? I totally get that the Big Hurt's outward attitude was not cutting it anymore, but to just dice him like that. Well, the Jays actually had their reasons. Where to now, Frank Thomas?
Mojo Blog — ... for Thomas. Most expect them to challenge the Angels for the AL West and their current DH Jose Vidro has been pretty awful so far, hitting .208/.278/.319, so it’s a win-win situation. If they signed Thomas, the Mariners would have to bench Jose Vidro - who gets paid $8,500,000 this year (for what?) - and the M’s might not want to park all this money in the dug-out. Other than that, I don’t see a reason why this should not happen. Link: J.P. Ricciardi Done Gone and Lost His Mind
