From the Columbus Blue Jackets: The Columbus Blue Jackets signed center R.J. Umberger to a four-year contract, club General Manager Scott Howson announced July 7. As is club policy, terms were not disclosed. Last month, Umberger was acquired by Columbus with a fourth round pick (118th overall) in the 2008 Entry Draft from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for a first round pick (19th overall) and a third round pick (67th overall) in the same draft. continued...

Well, I was a little slow getting this post up, but when I read this little gem, I couldn’t help but to post something up.  Today has been quite a busy day for the Columbus Blue Jackets.  Development Camp started today, and as much as I wanted to go, I wasn’t able to due to school starting (two classes fit into a 5 week session).  Sarah, over at Neutral Zone Trap, was able to attend, and has a full breakdown of the boys and how they’re progressing.
