Jackson re-hired to Michigan coaching staff

A day after new University of Michigan football coach Rich Rodriguez released all nine of the program's assistant coaches, he re-hired Fred Jackson, the longest-tenured assistant on coach Lloyd Carr's staff. "He'll be an offensive assistant at a position to be determined," U-M spokesman David Ablauf said.
