An MLBTR reader passed on this tidbit he heard on ESPN 1000 's coverage of the GM meetings.  The rumor would be the Cubs sending Jacques Jones to Detroit for Omar Infante .  The report mentioned both sides are staying in touch on the matter.  It's not major news, but if it's whispered... The Tigers acquired left-handed hitting outfielder Jacque Jones from the Cubs today in exchange for utility player Omar Infante. According to MLBTradeRumors.com, the makings of this deal were first reported last week on Chicago’s ESPN 1000 by Bruce Levine. Jones will be a stopgap left fielder while super-prospect Cameron Maybin continues his development. Jones could be traded again in July if Maybin progresses rapidly.
