... Dealing with Oakland means that Blanton wouldn’t exactly come cheap; although, his 4.96 ERA takes a guy like Rasmus off the table. However, Blanton’s price was still pretty steep as of early June. I can’t speculate on Oakland’s needs/asking price. If they want major league ready talent, it seems like they could use some power hitting. But that’s really the limit of my Oakland A’s knowledge, all gleaned from fantasy baseball which doesn’t account for what they’ve got in their minor league system. ...
