BREAKING NEWS: BOOZER TO OPT OUT
True Blue Jazz — ... Boozer wants to be paid....again.  I suppose I don't blame him for wanting a bigger paycheck, but won't clubs see him as a constant injury threat?  In addition, his reputation isn't exactly stellar after the fiasco with the Cavaliers.  For those of you who don't remember what happened, I'll analogize it to the Jazz.  Imagine if Boozer said, "yeah, I'm opting out, but only to sign a deal with the Jazz again."  Great!  Thanks man!  Then as soon as he is a FA he signs with the Heat for more money.  That's pretty much what happened in Cleveland.  We shouldn't be mad at him, yet, for ...

Breaking(?) News! Boozer to opt out...
SLC Dunkhttp://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3777170 Oh, and it's snowing 6-8 inches in Vegas, FYI. I guess it's hard to say this wasn't expected, but it's still a little jacked up.  Especially the quote that says: "I'm opting out. No matter what, I'm going to get a raise regardless," Boozer told ESPN.com. "I am going to opt out, I don't see why I wouldn't, I think it's a very good business decision for me and my family, but I'd also like to see what happens with the Jazz and stay here." Good luck, buddy.  With the way 'Sap has shown/grown ...

Jazz Have One of Those Good Kind of Problems
The Sporting Blog — ... There were already insinuations that Boozer might opt out this summer, perhaps eying Miami or patching things up with Cleveland. And that was before Millsap's emergence, which further complicates the situation. Boozer announced yesterday that he'll opt out of his contract, in effect leaving $12.6 million on the table. Then again, Millsap, who will make around $750,000 this season, is himself a restricted free agent this summer. As of now, it's not clear who has the leverage. ...

Dumars, Pistons likely to hunt Carlos Boozer during July feeding frenzy
Full-Court Press — Carlos Boozer says he plans to opt out of the final season of his contract with Utah. The Pistons have $21 million to play with this July after Allen Iverson's contract expires. See the connection? Boozer would forfeit a guaranteed $12.66 million to become an unrestricted free agent and Pistons.com editor Keith Langlois said Detroit president Joe Dumars' mouth is already watering just thinking about the two-time All-Star in Detroit. It's a gamble for Boozer to opt out - considering the expected decrease in salary cap and his history with injuries -- but the 27-year-old ...
