... Steve Kelley writes a piece for the Times on Jeff Clement, whom we should all be hoping to see sooner rather than later. It too goes over the basic points of it, his incredible power, the Varitek comps, and the M’s desire to hold on to him through the Bedard negotiations. Clement could in time become a sort of face of the franchise for his accessibility and all-American background, but in this case we’re talking about someone who’s an impact player in addition to being a leader and a nice guy, which is refreshing. ...
