Buzz: Coles Deal to be Finalized Tomorrow?

According to the Daily News, Laveranues Coles will have his new contract by tomorrow.
My criteria for considering this a successful renegotiation:
1) It costs the Jets less than the money the Jets were on the hook for this year — so say a minimum salary and an amortized signing bonus under $5 million to create more space right now to get some more JAGs or re-sign players under contract.
2) Other than an up front signing bonus, the “guarantees” can be things easily sidestepped should the team not want him in later ...
