With the direction the NFL is heading, there are very few running backs who can carry the load on their own, and running back tandems are becoming the norm. With Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson, the Bears had a very solid duo. Jones would start the game and help tire the defense, and then Cedric Benson would come in and abuse them some more until they were worn down. Then both Benson and Jones would finish them off. Well, Cedric Benson played well on Saturday in the Bears first preseason game, but it's a preseason game. It doesn't really mean anything. If it did, Kyle Orton would be a Hall of Famer. The one thing that people have been saying about Benson though, now that Jones is gone, is that they're worried about his durability.
