Jim Edmonds To The Cubs? Nooooooooooo! [Jim Edmonds]
Through it all, through all the hamboning and declining skills, we Cardinals fans have always loved Jim Edmonds. How do you not love a guy who has tattoos of both Darryl Kile and Josh Hancock? But man, if he signs with the Cubs, as has been heavily rumored, we might have a problem. Jim Edmonds? Wearing a Cubs jersey? Perish the thought. But Cubs fans are even less thrilled about the ... The Duck, It Is Snorting

... This is why I’m glad they finally ended the Felix Pie experiment. Pie, a formerly highly-touted prospect in the Cubs’ organization, has been given plenty of opportunities to stake his claim on the center-field job that lots of so-called experts expected to be his. But so far, in over 110 major league games, he’s proven only that he’s not ready, forcing the Cubs to look elsewhere for answers. It looks like they’ve finally found their answer in former Padre great Jim Edmonds. His clutch hitting and spectacular defense means that Pie can spend ...

This Makes No Sense
So all signs are indicating that the Cubs are about to sign Jim Edmonds, and for the most part, it's not a very popular move amongst Cubs fans. Which is entirely understandable, as Edmonds is a former Cardinal and has been a Cub-killer in his career. I think the move is idiotic as well, but not for any reason having to do with the Cardinals. No, I'm more opposed to it because Edmonds sucks.
Things You Should Know About Jim Edmonds (Just in Case)

Cubs to Sign Jim Edmonds
The Cubs are set to sign Jim Edmonds and send young centerfielder Felix Pie to the minors. As a Pirates fan, I heartily approve. Edmonds has now been dumped by two NL teams, including the team with the worst record in baseball. I've seen Edmonds several times this year and he looks like he's toast. Maybe I like Pie more than I should, but I don't think you have to like him much to think ...

Cubs Could Sign Jim Edmonds
As per Dave van Dyck of The Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Cubs could be interested in signing outfielder Jim Edmonds, who was resently released by the San Diego Padres. Tony La Russa says Jim Edmonds should be welcomed in the big leagues - just not on his team , because the Cardinals have outfielders who aren't as bad at baseball as Edmonds.
