... to see what everyone thinks about that idea! I think it is a valid option and wouldn't have a problem with it. They say he would be the one advising on who should be hired as GM, Head Coach, etc. The one question I have is.....didn't he "advise" Snyder for the last 2 years? I love Gibbs....but part of me wonders if he is qualified to make that transition. On the other hand....he has built a force in Nascar!

Noble endeavors no doubt, but the fact remains that Gibbs isn’t really in tune with the goings on around the league. Considering the fact that he won't get another chance at being a head coach in the NFL anytime soon, or probably ever, you cannot blame Zorn for taking this approach. And if you've never dealt with a very stubborn person before, I suggest you meet a football head coach. So what's next for this franchise? Well, word around the NFL is that former three-time Super Bowl champion Redskins head coach Joe Gibbs will be brought in to work a role similar to what Bill Parcells holds in Miami. ... with this notion on the grounds that Joe Gibbs was a million miles awat from the Redskins in his mind at this point in his life and besides, forcing Dan Snyder to hear boos every time he goes out for the figurative morning paper is a more populist solution than hoping for a proxy to bail us out. ... decisions. No one is drafted, signed, or traded for without his seal of approval. And it has worked for Miami so far. Parcell's emphasis on defense, running the football, and toughness, as well as hiring a coaching staff that can implement such a system, led them to the playoffs last year and has them a few plays away from being in the thick of things this season. Well, the rest of the league has been paying attention. Just last week, we found out that Dan Snyder was interested in hiring former head coach Joe Gibbs in a similar role . Gibbs decided he would rather stay ...
