Adrian Peterson is the winner by far, but it is nice to see an offensive lineman who also had a breakout rookie year get some hype. You can't talk about the years that Jamal Lewis and Derek Anderson had without also mentioning Joe Thomas.

firstandteninches.com 1/3/2008 — While Adrian Peterson getting the Rookie of the Year award has been pretty much a lock for weeks, those that thought he would be unanymously handed the trophy will be surprised to see that A.P. didn't get all of the votes. That's right, Peterson had to share a few first place votes with Browns' offensive tackle Joe Thomas. Of the 50 votes, Thomas mustered 3.5 first-place nods.

Big surprise right? Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was named the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year. As if they had any other choice.
