mookie Joey Dorsey -- way to impress as a "character" guy...wait until you're a proven vet to start talking smack on the sidelines, in street-clothes!
Joey Dorsey is a bonehead
Odenized —
Odenized video clip on YouTube | Download Sidelined with a rolled ankle, Joey Dorsey (and his flaming mouth) becomes the first Summer League DNP to single-handedly lose a game. Dorsey gets ejected after continuing to yap at Dee Brown, who landed a hard foul on Gustavo Barrera. Ironically, the man whose ass Dorsey threatened to kick (Brown) sends the game into overtime with a last-second tip. The Wizards eventually won in overtime, 80-75.
Joey Dorsey Ejected ... in a Summer League Game ... That He Wasn't Even Playing in
FanHouse —
Filed under: Rockets, Wizards, Summer LeagueYou have to give it to Joey Dorsey. If you want to immediately show the coaching staff and your teammates that you're willing to stand up for your guys, getting thrown out of a summer league game is kind of the way to go. Apparently Dorsey found a hard foul given by Dee Brown to Gustavo Barrera was a bit out of line, and decided to let Brown know about it. He kept at it, and eventually the ref bounced him . The best part? Yeah, he was in street clothes. He tweaked his ankle yesterday, and took today off. So a 2nd round rookie managed to get ...

You gotta love when the point guard is tipping in the center's missed 3 pointer at the buzzer. The Summer League: Where reversing conventional basketball wisdom happens. My thoughts from this especially strange game are pretty disorganized, so enjoy some bullet point thoughts.
If you've never understood why we have such a man-crush on Dominic McGuire, just watch the tape from tonight. Taser was all over ...

Joey Dorsey Ejected From Summer League Game He Wasn't Playing In
FanIQ Blog —
Joey Dorsey was watching his Houston Rockets secure a Vegas Summer League victory when he decided to introduce the NBA to his boneheaded tendencies.
Sidelined by an bad ankle, the Rockets rookie said something to the Wizards' Dee Brown which prompted a technical and ejection. Trailing by three, Washington sank the free throw and Brown tipped in the tying bucket just before the buzzer.
A meaningless game of course, but clearly a sign of what we can continue to expect from the former Memphis Tiger. Big body, bigger mouth. The same mouth that said he dominate Greg Oden, ...
Joey Dorsey is a clown
Hail Mary Jane —
Ok so if this is any sign of how the Rockets season is going to go, expect another long year Rockets fans.
Ugh.
Rockets rookie Joey Dorsey is not really known for his brains (which is fine considering that he is a professional athlete) but this one definitely takes the cake.
In this video of the Rockets/Wizards summer league game, Dorsey did not play. He didn’t let that stop him from A) Talking shit to Dee Brown, B) Getting a technical foul which brought the Wizards closer and gave them possession with seconds remaining, and C) Proving that ...

Dee Brown, the same guy he was talking shit too, ended up hitting the game tying layup to force overtime and of course the Wizards won the game in OT.
It’s a good thing this is only the summer league and not the regular season.
Thanks a lot to Odenized for the clip.

Welcome to the NBA, Joey Dorsey!
I *Heart* Celtics —
This has probably been commented on a million times already, but Joey Dorsey was kicked out of a summer league game that he wasn't even playing in. He's sitting on the bench next to fellow academic Rafer Alston in a nicely pressed new green polo when something that journeyman backup point guard Dee Brown annoys him. There are six seconds left in the game and the Rockets are up by three. Mr. Dorsey continues to berate Mr. Brown until he picks up a technical and is tossed the hell out of the game. Of course, Mr. Dorsey is shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that he is banished. The Wizards hit ...
Joey Dorsey loses a game that he wasn't in
ShamSports.com: NBA News That Doesn't Really Matter —
Down one in the closing stages of a summer league game, new Wizards guard Dee Brown fouls Uruguay's finest, the insatiable Gustavo Barrera, sending him to the line. Barrera hits both foul shots, putting Houston up by 3. Rockets forward Joey Dorsey - watching the game from the sidelines due to an ankle injury - briefly breaks away from his spontaneous "Who Can Wear The Worst Stripey Polo Shirt" competition with Rafer Alston, and decides to say something. The ref decides to T him up, demonstrating the elaborate technical foul ...

Seriously.. Can We Speed This Week Up?
Ridiculous Upside —
So, three days until Friday and not too much new information coming to me that can actually come out. I guess we'll look at some other things that can affect the draft, and since nothing is out on who will be allocated (Though hopefully this comes out soon), I guess for now I'll look at something else that can affect teams a team draft: Possible guys that could be sent down for assignment.
The D-League has done the legwork for me and put up a list of everyone that could get assigned, but we all know that there's not much chance for Derrick Rose or Mike Beasley to make a cameo in Iowa or Albuquerque.
The first guy that's ...
Around The League Updates
Ridiculous Upside —
I know this is going to make people nervous to see so many updates (Two in one day!), but I watched the Wizards game tonight (on Futurecast) so I thought I'd try getting in an update on that, among other things.
First of all, as you've probably noticed in the post below, we've got a new blogger. Ben Renz, going to school at IPFW (GO MASTODONS!), will be helping out with the blog as everyone's becoming busy. Usually, he'll be focusing on the Mad Ants. Already, I noticed tonight, he got some accolades from the one and only Jeff Potter! Ben's also talked about how ...
