Am I the only one who saw this picture on the Internets last night and figured that Chipper Jones' run in the .400s was predictably being put on the shelf? Luckily, it turns out he was only hit by a pitch and expects to be back for tonight's game against the Mets. From MLB.com:
Jones left during the seventh inning of the Braves' 11-4 win after
being hit above the right ankle by Mets reliever Scott Schoeneweis.
Jones' shin was swollen after the game, and pitcher Tim Hudson joked
with Jones that he had been put out of the game by a curveball.
