Canseco: I Introduced A-Rod To Steroids Supplier
Published 3/25/2008 by David Chalk at Bugs & Cranks
There’s now officially more evidence that Alex Rodriguez took steroids than there is that Barry Bonds took steroids.
From Joe Lavin via Deadspin:
As for Alex Rodriguez, [former Devil Ray great Jose] Canseco says he didn’t inject Rodriguez, but that he “introduced Alex to a known supplier of steroids.” Canseco didn’t mention Rodriguez in the first book because he “hated the bastard.” He was worried that people would have “questioned [his] motives” had he included ...

JoeLavin.com - Jose Canseco Reviewed: With Spoilers With a big hat-tip to Deadspin… This random guy, Joe Lavin, who’s apparently some sort of Internet writer dumb-lucked his way into buying a copy of Canseco’s new book about two weeks early. There are three big names named - but all three have already been fingered by Canseco in one way or another: Roger Clemens, Magglio Ordonez and Alex Rodriguez. While Canseco was the very, very unsavory and let’s be honest, just icky, canary in the coalmine the first time around, and happened to be correct, I just don’t know if truth ...
Book Leak: ARod, Magglio … Mike Wallace Juiced?
Published 3/25/2008 by Brooks at SPORTSbyBROOKS
... reports on a fan who bought and reviewed an accidently leaked copy of the new Jose Canseco book “Vindicated.” The book was somehow put out on sale at a Boston bookstore (oops!) - and purchased by someone named Joe Lavin . Unlike his namesake Steve, Joe actually has some noteworthy information for us. In the book Canesco apparently reveals that he introduced Alex Rodriguez to a steroid supplier. He also claims that ARod was trying to sleep with his wife, and wrote, “ So A-Rod, if you’re reading this book, and if I’m not getting through to you, let’s get clear on one thing: I ...

Canseco’s New Allegations
Published 3/25/2008 by JC at Sabernomics
As has been reported on Deadspin, Baseball Primer, and soon-to-be everywhere on the internet, Jose Canseco’s latest list of names in his new book Vindicated has been leaked by Joe Lavin. The big names are Magglio Ordonez, Roger Clemens, and Alex Rodriguez. Even by Canseco’s standards, the evidence is weak. Ordonez is the only player whom he claims to have witnessed use, but we already knew about this story from Ordonez’s side. He accuses Clemens of telling jokes about steroids, and he says he ...

... Rodriguez to a steroids dealer.
As you may recall, respected journalist Don Yaeger passed on being Canseco’s co-author because the ex-slugger didn’t have any facts to back up his claims. Then came a report that Canseco tried to extort money from Magglio Ordonez to keep his name out of the book. So keep that in mind when deciding what you believe.
Canseco also admits in the book that he hates A-Rod, supposedly because A-Rod was chasing after his wife.

Canseco: I Introduced A-Rod To Steroids Dealer

In Canseco's new book "Vindicated," the former Bash-Brother says that he introduced the current Yankees third baseman to a steroid dealer, but did not inject him himself. Canseco also claims that A-Rod was constantly trying to sleep with his wife, a former Hooters girl. ... found a link to a website by author Joe Lavin who happened to get his hands on a copy before the release day. Because of my intense curiosity, I decided to read what Lavin had to say. It appears that Canseco names Alex Rodriguez, Magglio Ordonez, and Roger Clemens as steroid pushers. Yes, I said pushers. Apparently, Alex Rodriguez runs a distribution ring up and down the east coast. Clemens served as the muscle while Ordonez transported the goods. Canseco claims that there were wire taps placed on A-Rod's lines but they used such clever slang that the Feds were unable to ...

The Canseco/A-Rod joke is on…someone
Published 3/25/2008 by Ben K. at River Ave. Blues
By now, you, dear reader, may have read the Jose Canseco/Alex Rodriguez story spreading through the Internet. It started this morning with a Deadspin post, spread to Baseball Think Factory and from there, landed on blogs across the Internet. A little over an hour ago, the story jumped from the Internet to Newsday when Kat O’Brien wrote up a quick story.

A-Rod has 'absolutely no reaction' to Jose Canseco
Published 3/25/2008 at Big League Stew
It really is amazing how fast the news cycle works these days. This morning, a blogger from Boston posted a short review of Jose Canseco's new book that doesn't go on sale until next week. The post mentioned that Alex Rodriguez was the biggest whale harpooned in the pages and that Canseco claimed to having introduced A-Rod to a steroids supplier. Also, A-Rod also kept calling Canseco's wife and one can only assume about it wasn't about buying real estate in Miami. (All of this is allegedly, of course.) Well, in bringing the ...

... Joe Lavin reports that in Jose Canseco’s new book, “Vindicated,” the admitted juicer takes aim at Alex Rodriguez. Canseco claims that he “introduced Alex to a known supplier of steroids,” and ends a chapter by saying, “A-Rod, if you’re reading this book, and if I’m not getting through to you, let’s get clear on one thing: I hate your f***ing guts.” These strong words against A-Rod will surely sell some more books for Canseco, especially because the book includes accusations that Rodriguez was trying to ...

Well, the accused stand on the podium and say...I plead the fifth! Magglio Ordonez and Alex Rodriguez seem unfazed by the allegations in the new book by Jose Canseco . Alex Rodriguez was mummed about the new book's content and plans to remain that way, according to a NY Times article : Rodriguez would not address those issues in a two-minute interview with reporters after the game. He said he was not concerned about a potential distraction. "It's over, as far as I'm concerned," Rodriguez said. "No further comment on the matter.
