Juan Pierre made a rehab start in Las Vegas today and is scheduled to return with the Dodgers for this weekend’s homestand. Pierre’s return will again give Torre a surplus of outfielders, so he will be faced with the choice of who to bench. Andruw Jones’ horrible numbers should jump out at Torre and prompt him to keep Jones out of the lineup. He is batting just .156 since return from the DL earlier this month and is just 4 for 50 with RISP this season. Eric Stults was sent back down to Las Vegas after a rough outing on Monday. Also, Brad Penny threw 55 pitches in his bullpen ...
