Wizards Continue Argentine Win Streak

The Kansas City Wizards continued their win streak down in Argentina with a 2-1 over River Plate. The game was played in 2 35 minute halves. Jack Jewsbury opened the scoring for the Wizards from the penalty spot for his second goal of the preseason in the 20th minute. River Plate equalized in the 43rd, before open tryout trialist, Kevin Souter got the winner off of a rebound after Michael Kruas had his header saved. ...

... Now that Claudio Lopez has officially joined the team, there is much less to talk about. The Wizards continue their training in Argentina, and won their latest friendly 2-1 over River Plate. Goals were scored by Jack Jewsbury and Kevin Souter, one of the players on trial (kind of a funny way to put it). No Lopez sighting, as he was busy being introduced at a news conference held at the team’s hotel, I believe. ...
