Jack Williams might be the only corner Bill Polian drafts this year. First of all, congrats to Kansas fans everywhere . I was rooting for them last night, and for their coach Bill Self. I remember a few years ago he got a highly ranked Kansas team into the tourney only to lose in the second round. Everyone wanted his head on a pike. Now, he's the Prince of Lawrence. Meanwhile, the ...The 2008 Shining Moment of Rock Chalk Jayhawk

A national title in college basketball combined with a BCS bowl victory in football leads me to wonder, WTF is going on in Lawrence, Kansas? I hope the hole in the wall bar near campus, "The Wheel" is still standing come Tuesday morning. The TV footage of partying in Lawrence looks awesome. It was a crazy game and ending that I will dissect in greater detail later.Mario Chalmers Is Going To Have His Jersey Retired At Kansas

Kansas basketball reveres the names of it's famous contributors. There is a tombstone bearing the name Naismith in Lawrence. There is a statue bearing the name Phog Allen out in front of the famous fieldhouse. There are jerseys that hang from the hallowed rafters inside Allen Field House, names like Wilt Chamberlain, Clyde Lovellette, JoJo White and Danny Manning - some of the greatest ...Roy Williams Still Loves His Jayhawks

By Chris Littmann Walking around San Antonio, there was more than a little animosity directed at North Carolina's Roy Williams from Kansas fans. The Ruck Foy and Royvengence shirts pretty much explained that those in Lawrence have no love for the school's former coach. Well, in a picture you won't see anywhere else (for the moment), it's clear that Roy still has some love for Kansas. ...Kansas Versus Memphis: Who Wants the Marbles?

There’s a moderately important basketball game being played for the mythical BCS Championship and tonight is their last chance for these teams to impress the voters. Wait? What’s that? Oh, I’m sorry. In NCAA basketball, they actually decide these games on the court. What a novel concept. Anyway, it’s Kansas and Memphis for all the basketball marbles. Who ya got? ...They’re lining up in Lawrence, Kansas

Hey, we can kind of understand camping outside for concert tickets or playoff tickets (not for a Wii, mind you), but what we don’t quite get is getting in line outside a bar (a chain, no less!) to ensure entry the next day. Then again, we’ve never been to Lawrence, Kansas. From the Lawrence Journal-World (and thanks to Ron H., a dedicated Kansas backer, for the link ): The wait ...Da Big Game - Memphis or Kansas?

Men's Basketball season ends tonight and I have to wonder who you're rooting for, or who you expect to win - Kansas or Memphis? I've typically ended up rooting for Kansas throughout the year due to Nebraska's lack of basketball prowess. It's become harder since Roy Williams left - I've never had a liking for Bill Self, maybe because he turned us down few years ago, and maybe because ...Kansas Fans Have Every Right To Hate Roy Williams [Final Four]

The general consensus concerning Roy Williams' "return" against Kansas at the Final Four this week is that it just broke his heart to leave Lawrence, and that any Jayhawks fan who is still angry with him is just being bitter. But on Phog.net , a Kansas fan message board, a poster named "pgalichia" sums up Jayhawks' fans' grievances with Williams quite succinctly. OK, maybe not succinctly, but ...
