Portsmouth striker Nwankwo Kanu scored the lone goal of the FA Cup Final in the 37th minute when a John Utaka cross into the box ricocheted awkwardly off Cardiff City goalkeeper Peter Enckelmann, and Kanu put the rebound into the net.
