Another tightly-contested game. The ice was tilted toward the Red Wings’ end in the first, but Dominik Hasek kept them off the board. They got past him twice in the second, but the third was distinctly the Wings’ period. Detroit’s defense is still not what it should be, third period excepted. ... Will Dom play like the Dominator? I touched on this above, but - much like the Wings as a team - Hasek appears to be improving period by period. Aside from one brief span where he seemed to go a little haywire he’s made some big stops. After two games he’s stopping 93.6% of the shots he’s faced and he’s allowing 1.5 goals against per game.
