NFL Announces 2008 Kick-off Weekend: Lucas Oil Stadium
Stampede Blue — Lucas Oil Stadium better be ready to go by early September, because the brand new stadium will host NBC's Football Night in America on Sunday, September 7th at 8:15pm. It's then that the Colts will host the Chicago Bears in a re-match of Super Bowl 41. The earlier Thursday night game will pit the defending champion NY Giants against the Washington Redskins, who will debut their new head coach Jim Zorn. Looks like "The Lube" will get an early close-up. Irsay and others must be very confident building will be done by late-August. Tip to torontocoltsfan.

Pride Of Detroit — Earlier this week, the NFL approved a number of rule changes, and one of them gives teams the ability to put a radio receiver in the helmet of a defensive player.  Previously, only quarterbacks have been able to have radios in their helmets, but the new rule will allow teams to put radios in two players' helmets.  The catch is that two players with radios can't be on the field at the same time, but that is to make sure that only one is being used on offense and only one on defense at a time.
