News out of Detroit says that the Lions will likely place quarterback Jon Kitna on the IR if they can't trade him by today's 4pm deadline.
Kitna suffered a back injury two weeks ago in Chicago, and did not play on Sunday. Kitna could hypothetically be back after two or three weeks off, but it looks as if the Lions have decided to turn the reigns over to Dan Orlovsky for the remainder of the season, despite God's best efforts to help Kitna's cause by pushing Orlovsky out of the back of the end zone against the Vikings. ...
