Knicks hire Mike D'Antoni as head coach
After denying for two days that Mike D'Antoni was the Knicks' top choice to replace Isiah Thomas, team president Donnie Walsh offered him the head coaching job on Saturday and D'Antoni accepted, agreeing to a four-year, $24 million deal.
