Lessons from Manhattan: Where Do Top Recruits Belong?

... saw the game as well and made a very interesting observation. He says that future 5-star recruits should learn from Beasley’s example. For top recruits, “if you go somewhere where not much is expected and the overall competition in a conference is decent but not great, you can become a legend.” ...

Michael Beasley doesn’t care that Kansas held Aleks Maric (15.6 ppg) to zero points on 0-6 shooting. “We’re going to beat Kansas at home,” said Beasley. “We’re going to beat them at their house. We’re going to beat them in Africa. ...Where’s the Competition?

After watching Michael Beasley and Jacob Pullen lead the Kansas State Wildcats to a huge upset of the then-undefeated and #2 ranked Kansas Jayhawks, it hit me — only one unblemished team remains in college basketball. Only one team has yet to deal with failure. Only one has refused to bend or break down the stretch. However, is it because of true athletic superiority? Absolutely not..Breakfast of Champions: 1/31

Michael Beasley is the best player on the Kansas State Basketball Team, hands down. However it puzzles me how people can rate him as the best player in College Basketball when he's not even the best freshman in the country (17 year old James Harden ASU). Beasley is undersized as a PF (only 6'9 and 235lbs) and is a bad ball handler. Beasley's skill and ...Top 5 Players in College Basketball

Kansas Goes Down . For the first time in 25 years, KU went into Manhattan, KS, and came away with a loss. Freshman stars Bill Walker and Michael Beasley, prescient cocky in their predictions of a win , blew up for 47/11 combined, putting to rest the notion that KU has superior talent vis-a-vis everyone else in the country. So how’d they get it done? We caught the second half, ...With the No. 1 Pick…

I’ve been saying since Day One that Michael Beasley should be the No. 1 pick in this upcoming NBA Draft, no questions asked. It’s a belief only made stronger after watching him bulldoze through a very talented, very athletic Kansas squad last night. You can’t just focus on guys like Beasley, Eric Gordon and Derrick [...]Michael Beasley: Talk is Cheap

Words: AGGREY SAM Portrait: MIKE DELFIN I’m not a cocky person at all,” Michael Beasley says, “but I think I’m the number one player in the country.” Anyone who’s seen Beasley play knows the first part of that statement is a damn lie. But the second part, with apologies to a lot of other kids in this issue, is arguably as real as it gets. Size? Beasley goes a solid, 6-9, 230. ...Michael Beasley and Bill Walker Deliver On Guarantee, Kansas State Upsets #2 Kansas

Almost daily round-up of college hoops, at least when anything interesting happens ... Can they arrange a game in Africa? A lot of silly guarantees are thrown about in sports (more on that soon), and Michael Beasley's "we'll beat them at home, we'll beat them on the road, we'll beat them in Africa" guarantee seemed certain to join those ranks.
