Puck Previews: Kings, Rangers battle for coastal supremacy
Puck Daddy —
Preview: Los Angeles Kings (4-1-0) at New York Rangers (5-1-0), 7 p.m. EST. It's east coast vs. west coast, minus any rapper beef. Who would have thought that through the first two weeks of the season the Rangers and Kings would be two of the NHL's best? The winner of tonight's game will find themselves on their longest winning streak since the lockout. Erik Ersberg(notes) should spell Jon Quick(notes) in goal for the Kings tonight while the Rangers own "king", Henrik ...
Kunitz Scores When It Matters
Faceoff Factor —
... Officially, Chris Kunitz still has a goose egg under the goal column of the Penguins’ stat sheet. But his shootout tally tonight should at least start to quiet some of his critics. After six games, the left winger has found himself in the doghouse with many fans who feel he should be potting more goals. Or at least one. The topic has gained so much steam that the Post-Gazette ran a story this morning proving that the fan concerns are just that: fan concerns.“We’re winning, and we have some scoring coming from all over the place,” said Bill Guerin. “So it’s not important [for ...
How about a little love for Chris Kunitz?

... done in that sorta way where you give two positives and finish on a negative.
Example (which in this case is actually one negative followed by two positives):
If scoring goals was his sole, or even primary, duty on that line, Kunitz likely would have been replaced long ago. But because he does so much, and because his scoring problems are not costing the Penguins points, he apparently will get more time to start scoring again.

Penguins 3, Hurricanes 2 (OT - SO - 2-1)
igloodreams.blogspot.com 10/15/2009 — The Canes came out hopping tonight, and you had to think the first road loss might be at hand. The Pens, however, didn't feel the same way and acted like a team that has won the Stanley Cup. They didn't panic and weathered the storm. The Canes continued to press, and probably got a bit too ...

NHL / League mantra: Go home, Pens —
SFGate: Top Sports Stories 10/14/2009
