For example, Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie is starting 6-foot-6 sophomore Derrick Jasper at power forward. Jasper started at point guard for UK last season. With ...

Liveblog: UK-Florida pre-game
John Clay's Sidelines — ... The sub-head on my column this morning about Billy Gillispie's team-building was a bit misleading. The column did not say that UK's failure to hire Florida's Billy Donovan was best for the program. What column did say, or tried to say, was that despite this season's ups and downs, the way Gillispie had been able to get Kentucky to bond as a team spoke well for the program's future. From the Florida point of view: Last hope for the Gators? [Gainesville Sun] Gators have one last chance to redeem season. [Orlando Sentinel ...

Gator Basketball at Kentucky
Alligator Army — ... I've been pretty lucky. My teams have won a Stanley Cup, a Super Bowl, and numerous World Series. But none of that, even being at Game Seven when the Lightning won the Cup, compares to when the Gators have won titles. That's what has made this year so hard. While plentiful, Kentucky's losses don't look so bad now
wkdzsports.typepad.com 3/11/2008 — Kentucky enters the SEC Tournament this week with a record of 18-11. Even with a first round loss, that should be enough to get into the NCAA Tournament. The average record of the teams that UK lost to is 23-8. Take out Gardner-Webb -- the only team from the above that will likely miss the NCAA Tourmament -- and that inflates to 24-7. 10 of those 11 teams will likely make the Big Dance.
