Paul Hoynes has said that Rick Bauer will be designated for assignment here within the next day and the Indians will call up a reliever from the group of Stevens, Slocum, and Lewis. CC Sabathia must fall asleep with a smile on his face because every day he wakes up and another team has declared an interest in acquiring him. The latest to enter the Sabathia sweepstakes is the Phillies. They've also expressed an interest in Mariners lefthander Erik Bedard, who is 5-4 with a 3.79 ERA.
