Law & Order: Pensblog Unit -- Fleury vs. Conklin
Ralph Iannotti here, standing outside Allegheny County Courthouse, awaiting the beginning of the Trial of the Season. The litigants walked past me into the courtroom just a few minutes ago. Neither man or his respective representation chose to comment as Judge Charlie stood in between them. A jury of Pensblog readers has been sitting in the jury room since early this afternoon at ... A Better Way To Pick A Starting Goalie
Published 2/21/2008 by Joe <milehighhockey@yahoo.com> at Mile High Hockey
... The geniuses (savants?) at The Pensblog have a much better idea.  The Penguins are struggling with which goalie they should go with---the previous-starter-now-back-from-injury Marc Andre Fleury or the amazing-out-of-nowhere Ty Conklin.  Instead of boring, statistical analysis punctuated by a drawn-out, bitter pissing contest among readers in the comments thread, how about a jury trial?  Complete with true Photoshop wizardry!  This entry proves why The Pensblog is probably the best hockey blog (non-statistics-oriented) on the Internets. ...

Fleury v. Conklin

On any other blog, the decision to start Marc-Andre Fleury or Ty Conklin is a small post with a few arguments. On The Pensblog, it's a full-blown episode of Law & Order . Yours truly even has a cameo, presenting evidence for Conklin's side, who I believe is represented by a giant chicken. . Labels: ...

... - I don't know how many of you read non-Sabres blogs but if you haven't read Pensblog's Fleury vs. Malkin trial, you're missing out on one of the best things I've ever read on these here interwebs. It is both ridiculous and smart and screamingly funny, the highlight being the meeting between Judge Charlie and the Daniel Alfredsson line in judge's chambers. I don't know how these guys pulled off this post but I can tell you this: Heather B = stunned. ...

Day in and day out, The Pensblog is chugging away, providing us with such gems as Law & Order: Pensblog Unit- Fluery vs. Conklin. When accused (rightly so, IMO) of being too cavalier with terms like “gay” and “homo”, they brought us ...

No Montreal Return for Sidney Crosby

Despite rampant speculation earlier this week that Sidney Crosby would make his return to the ice tonight in Montreal against the Canadiens, it looks like fans will have to wait until AT LEAST Saturday when the Penguins host the Ottawa Senators in Pittsburgh. Penguins battle back for 5-4 win in Montreal

Let me state for the record that I still hate the decision to start Dany Sabourin in goal tonight for the Penguins. I don’t care if the guy grew up in downtown Montreal (which he didn’t), and played well the last time in Habs-land. Ty Conklin is the #1 goalie as of right now, the Pens had a day off before the game and another day off after the game, he should have been in goal tonight.
