Facebook Is a Sewer

... ...and thanks to Gary Parrish, now it's representative of UNC fans. I generally keep my uninformed opinions on draft chances to myself, because the optimal word there is uninformed. Lawson et al. shouldn't let it get them down, though. For one, anyone who's going to seek you out on Facebook is more likely to be negative than positive - it's the kind of mentality that arises in anonymous crowds. (When Dylan went electric, only the guy motivated to yell, "Judas!" said anything. Nobody shouted, "I support your artistic gowth and wish you the best in ...

North Carolina Players Learn the Fans Love the Team, Not Them
Published 5/29/2008 by Charles Rich at FanHouse
... NCAA Basketball Fans, NBA ProspectsThis applies to all programs at every school. The fans love the school first. The players on the team matter, but it is always about what is good for the team. Most would consider this a, "duh" sort of statement. Yet, it seems North Carolina players have been somewhat surprised to find this fact out as they test the NBA Draft. So, they are talking about being stunned by this. Ty Lawson, a sophomore, has been getting the message online. Best he can tell, all the well-wishers who made Lawson's first ...

... making things happen on the offensive end. Hudson ended the game with four points on 2-for-6 shooting, with five assists and five turnovers. Lawson's numbers weren't spectacular -- he had 10 points, four assists and shot 4-for-10 from the field -- but several GMs walked away impressed with Lawson. "He came out with great energy and played like he had something to prove," one GM said. "He kicked Hudson's [butt]. I think he helped himself." Unfortunately, Tar Heel fan is taking Lawson testing the draft waters too far. Yeah, I hate when people try and better their future, too. ...

... Chapel Hill is a tiny town where people (and I mean EVERYBODY) knows all the basketball players and loves them like brothers. But, a few thing about this arrest strike me as khamically awkward. Lawson came out a few days ago and talked about how fickle Carolina fans can be. How they lambasted him for putting his name in the draft and not coming back to help them try and win a national championship. He was playing great in the camps too, making it even less likely he would return. Could it be that some psycho undergrad leaked some info to ...

Ty Lawson plays very well in first game of the Pre Draft Camp

Just as I said that I think Ellington needs to come back to Chapel Hill based on his first game in Orlando, I have a definite thought on Lawson and his first game. If he plays this way for the rest of the camp and at the workouts he'll be in the NBA next year without a doubt.
