August 8th marks the twentieth anniversary of Steve Carlton's final career victory. His last win was delivered in the heat of the 1987 pennant race for the Minnesota Twins. For a one-time ace whose best days were behind him, he had just enough in him to be "Lefty One Last Time." [link]

The last handful of games haven't gone as expected for the Tribe, we lost a series to the Twins, then only managed a split with them, and have won the first game of the White Sox series. It's sad to see the offense struggle so mightily, finding only two runs on seven hits tonight, but there is a silver lining to that cloud - the pitching starters have been magnificent.
