Zell's Pinstripe Blog — ... uniform seems crazy to me…and probably to all other fans of baseball. Yes..teams move on, but I think Derek will be handled differently. The Captain is a Yankee for life, and I don’t think I could EVER see him playing in another uniform. It just wouldn’t be right. The Padres seem to be letting Hoffman go, which kind of seems weird, considering he has been a Padre for his whole career. It might put a little scare in you for a second, but do you really think they would let Jetes go?
