Lester Dominates Over Yankees
The Red Sox shutout the Yankees 7-0 in the first game of the series. Lester pitched a complete game shutout, giving up only 5 hits while striking out 8. Mike Lowell and Jacoby Ellsbury each had two RBIs in the game. Lester is the first Red Sox pitcher since Pedro Martinez, in 2002, to shutout the Yankees.
