Leyland: Maybin to start off 2008 in minors
While Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland does not regret calling up 20-year-old phenom outfielder Cameron Maybin to the major leagues earlier this season, he does not believe he is quite ready to be an everyday player at the major league level -- yet. Which is why, Leyland tells the Detroit Free Press, Maybin is not likely to start his 2008 season with the big league club.
