Life: Help! My husband is despondent over a lost love | joe, favre, surgery, call, time
MORNING READ: Now that the Green Bay Packers quarterback is out of the picture, maybe she'll get a new driveway. > Waiting in the hospital lounge while my husband was in surgery, I mentally went over the supplies in my black bag. Laptop, notes, phone numbers – all there. There wouldn't be much time. Total knee replacement, and the mega-pain meds it entails, would keep Joe stoned all of one ... [link]

Man begins to get over Brett Favre; marriage slowly heals
Published 4/21/2008 at Shutdown Corner
As I read this column this morning, written by a woman whose husband was distraught over the retirement of Brett Favre, I couldn't tell if it was real or a parody. I think I've settled on real. Reading it felt a little like watching Best in Show, a Christopher Guest mockumentary that looks real, but is, in actuality, actors poking a little fun at the culture depicted; in that case, dog show people. Was I sad for the Packers and the games Joe would ...

Didn’t We All Feel a Bit Like This?
Published 4/22/2008 by DJ at LombardiAve.com | A Blog For Green Bay Packers Fans
This is a great piece of writing I was send by Zach and I think you should all check it out. As Packer fans and Favre fans, we all felt this way after learning of his retirement. Heck, I went into a four-day mourning period where I wore only my Favre jersey after school (private school dress code prevented it being worn during the day). The jersey is in my closet, waiting for Week 1 vs. Minnesota to come out again. I was pretty much in the dumps. However, I do not think I felt as down as this dude .
