The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed unrestricted free agent LB Gilbert Gardner to a one-year deal. Additional contract terms were not disclosed. Gardner (6-1, 228) spent last season with Tennessee. He was originally drafted by the Colts in the third round (69th overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft out of Purdue.
